    Biography<\/h4>

    PD Dr. med. Eva Meia R\u00fcegg is an expert in the field of aesthetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery of the face and breast.<\/p>

    <\/p>

    After completing her medical studies in Zurich in 2005, she gained a broad surgical foundation as an assistant physician in surgery at Triemli City Hospital. Her first experience in the field of plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, as well as hand surgery, was at Lucerne Cantonal Hospital. This was followed by formative years in Paris with Professor Laurent Lantieri at Henri Mondor University Hospital, focusing on aesthetic and reconstructive, especially microsurgical, facial and breast surgery. This also included research and active participation in three face transplantations, including the world’s first total face transplantation. <\/p>

    <\/p>

    After a year as a senior physician at the Thurgau Cantonal Hospitals, she continued her career at the Geneva University Hospitals, initially as a senior physician and from 2016 as a leading physician and deputy chief physician. During this time, she was invited for a further training stay in facial surgery at New York University Langone with Prof. Eduardo D. Rodriguez. In Geneva, the focus was also on aesthetic and reconstructive, especially microsurgical, facial and breast surgery, as well as research in the same area. In addition, the Geneva tradition of humanitarian reconstructive facial surgery (Noma facial defects) and craniofacial surgery at the highest level was cultivated. Her academic career was crowned with her habilitation in this field in 2020. <\/p>

    <\/p>

    In 2019, PD Dr. med. Eva Meia R\u00fcegg returned to German-speaking Switzerland and founded corrig\u00e9 luzern in the heart of Lucerne. Here, the focus is on aesthetic facial and breast surgery and body contouring, which has been an important part of her activity throughout her career. Reconstruction in the facial and breast areas is also continued. The personal treatment and care by PD Dr. med. Eva Meia R\u00fcegg is clearly paramount. <\/p>

    <\/p>

    In addition to her commitment as a plastic surgeon, PD Dr. med. Eva Meia R\u00fcegg is a member of numerous important professional societies such as the Swiss Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, the Swiss Society of Rhinology, the European Association of Plastic Surgeons, the European Society of Craniofacial Surgery, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.<\/p>

    <\/p>

    As a Privatdozentin, she is still actively involved in teaching at the Geneva University Hospitals.<\/p>
