Face – The mirror of the soul

Every face is unique and shaped by individual life stories. The face refelects our personality and gives us expression. A brilliant gaze and firm skin give us a fresh and healthy look. However, the skin is not only subject to a natural ageing process, but it is also strongly exposed to external influences. Sun exposure accelerate the formation of wrinkles, the skin loses its elasticity. Fine corrections can visibly refresh and rejuvenate the face and preserve its natural authenticity.

The focus of treatments on the face, is primarily on the eyes, and the contours of the face. A gentle lift can help to restore the original shape, rejuvenate your appearance and confidence. This can also have practical benefits by broadening the field of vision.

At corrigé, we pay attention to maintaining or restoring the unique natural look of your face.

Our services include:

Depending on the type, wrinkles, and skin imperfections, can be treated non-surgically, or in a minimally invasively way, using different methods. Non-surgical procedures are carried out corrigé in the practice, and minimally invasive procedures, treated on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia. Dr. Rüegg will analyse which method is ideal for you, in a personal consultation.

Botuliniumtoxin (Botox): This method is particularly suitable for finer wrinkles in facial expressions. The botulinum toxin is injected into the mimic muscles with a thin needle. The connection between the nerves and the mimic muscles is blocked, the skin above it relaxes and appears firmer. The effect lasts about three to four months.

Filling with hyaluronic acid: Wrinkles of different depths can be treated with the help of hyaluronic acid. The filler can also be used to modulate the shape of the face, and contours around the chin or lips.

Micro needling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP): Your skin quality can be improved with the help of micro needling and autologous blood plasma. Treatment with PRP, is carried out by taking a blood sample, developing the blood plasma, and then injected into the skin. The body's own growth factors and nutrients contained in the plasma, promotes the regeneration of your skin. As a result, your skin will look plumper and healthier.

Peeling: During peeling, your skin is treated with fruit acids or Trichloroacetic acid and an improvement in your skin structure is achieved. Your skin will look more radiant and smoother. Pigment spots and fine wrinkles can be treated with the deeper peeling, and a lifting effect can also be achieved. The peeling is performed on an outpatient basis in the Luzern practice. Depending on the depth of treatment, however, you may have longer-lasting redness of the skin that clears over time.

Filling with autologous fat: This is a minimally invasive surgical technique. With a gentle suction technique, autologous fat is removed from your body, and then injected into the wrinkle region. By using your own fat, allergies or body rejection reactions are excluded. The effect is long-lasting due to the stem cells contained, and the result is very natural. This procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and requires local pain anaesthesia. In exceptional cases general anaesthesia may be used.

Over time, the tissue around your eye loses its elasticity with age. This causes lowered eyelids, and dark circles or bags under the eyes. Often resulting in tired, or a sad facial expression. With microfine incisions, the upper and lower eyelids, are operated in such a way, that your natural bright expression is restored.
The operation is performed under local anaesthesia (with or without sleep) and takes about one to two hours. After five to seven days, the stitches are removed, and sporting activities are possible again after about two weeks. A temporary swelling and bruising can be concealed by make-up and wearing sunglasses.

Raising the eyebrows, permanently reduces disturbing wrinkles and creates a natural, open, and alert look. Your forehead muscles are relieved, and the skin around the eyelid area is tightened. The operation is performed under local anaesthesia (with or without sleep) and takes about an hour. The procedure is done in a way that the scars are hidden above the brows, and hardly visible. After a week, the stitches are removed, and sporting activities are possible again after about two weeks.

With the aging process, it’s quite normal that the skin sags. Even slim people can develop annoying jowls, a double chin and sagging wrinkles. Having a facelift, can tighten and restore contours in the lower face and neck area. The aim is to maintain a natural appearance and a positive, fresh appearance. Other minor procedures can be combined with the facelift, e.g., upper lip lift, eyelid tightening, lipofilling. The classic facelift tightens the subcutaneous tissue, with removal of excess skin, and leaves an almost invisible scar in front of and behind the ear. In addition, the middle part of the neck can be tightened more intensively via a micro-fine incision under the chin. The procedure is performed under anaesthesia and requires an overnight stay in the clinic for monitoring. After two to three weeks, you will be ready to go out again, and can resume your normal sporting activity.

If you have small fat deposits, liposuction is sometimes enough to achieve the desired result you are looking for. With less elastic skin, a facelift maybe recommended for further tightening.

You can correct the distance between your nose and upper lip, to optimise the proportions in the lower third of your face. The upper lip gains some volume (without filler injection) and a natural appearance of the lips is preserved. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia with or without sleep.

Protruding as well as misshapen or injured ears can be corrected surgically. The procedure takes about one to two hours and takes place over the back of the ear with micro-fine incisions, making the scars not visible from the outside. Strongly protruding ears can already be corrected in childhood. The outpatient procedure is performed under local anaesthesia with or without sleep. For four weeks afterwards, a headband must be worn day and night. We also treat dilated ear holes or split earlobes.

With an aesthetic nose correction, the entire aspect of your face is changed. It must therefore be well considered and requires great care in planning and implementation. If there is an accompanying nasal obstruction, the procedure can be performed together with an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist. The procedure is performed under anaesthesia with a short hospital stay. A cast or nasal splint is fitted during surgery and worn for a week. After removal, a slight swelling remains for a few weeks.

Often a combination of different interventions makes sense to achieve a harmonious overall result. These can take place in the same session or staggered in time.

Breast – The symbol of sensuality

The breast is the quintessential part of feminity and sensuality. Sometimes the proportions are not right. With different techniques we achieve a harmonious overall picture. Time or pregnancies leave their traces too. If the size, shape and firmness of the breast are optimally adjusted to the person, the body regains its harmony. At corrigé, we take care to preserve the functions of the breast such as hte ability to breastfeed or sensitivity. We respond sensitively to your personal needs.

In breast augmentation with silicone implants, implants are placed either above or below the pectoral muscle. The procedure takes about two hours and is performed under general anaesthesia. The implant is embedded via a small micro-fine incision in the lower breast fold. Subsequently, the skin is sutured with self-dissolving threads in an invisible way.

There are two different types of implants, round and teardrop-shaped. The teardrop-shaped implant is very similar to the natural breast shape. However, the final result depends heavily on the anatomy of the body. The size and shape of the implant are individually adapted to the patient's body shape and wishes after a private consultation.

After the procedure, work should not be done for at least a week. Working people who put a lot of strain on their arms should refrain from carrying out their activities for at least three to four weeks. Sport can be resumed after four weeks. After the procedure, a sports bra should be worn for about six weeks. The final result of breast augmentation occurs six to nine months after surgery. After this period, the swelling has completely receded and the implant has passed into the final position.

For breast augmentation with autologous fat, existing fat deposits in the body are aspirated. The autologous fat is then processed and injected at several points around the breast. One or two sessions are usually necessary. The method of breast augmentation with autologous fat is particularly suitable for patients who desire a small to moderate enlargement, and do not have risks of breast cancer. Which treatment option is ideal for you and your body will be discussed in a detailed private consultation. The operation is performed under general anaesthesia and takes about two hours. Afterwards, a sports bra is worn for about six weeks. Professional activity should be suspended for a week.

If the breast has lost shape as a result of age, or appear after pregnancy or weight loss, so-called ‘empty or sagging breasts’ can be tightened, and the natural form restored. Here, the breast is remodelled and excess skin is removed. The operation is performed under general anaesthesia. The areola is reduced in size and repositioned. Also, the mammary gland tissue is re-sculptured. A micro-fine scar is located around the areola, and runs vertically downwards, sometimes additionally in the lower breast fold. The skin is sutured with self-dissolving threads. After the operation, a sports bra is worn for about six weeks. The final shape of the breasts shows up after about six to nine months. After the procedure, professional activity should be avoided for one to two weeks. Sports activities are possible after four to six weeks.

If you suffer physically due to breasts that are too large, this can be reduced surgically. For this purpose, skin, mammary glands, and fatty tissue are removed. With the remaining tissue, the breast is reshaped. A micro-fine scar is located around the areola and vertically downwards, sometimes additionally in the lower breast fold. The operation takes about three hours and is performed under general anaesthesia, with a hospital stay of three to four days. After the operation, a wound drainage is placed for one to two days, then a supportive sports bra is worn for six weeks. After the procedure, for about 2 weeks you are advised to take time off work. Working people who put a lot of strain on their arms should refrain from carrying out their activities for at least three to four weeks. Sport can be done again after about four weeks. The final result of the breast reduction occurs after six to nine months after the operation. After this period, the swelling has completely subsided.

If your breasts are a different size or shape, they can be corrected by means of a breast lift or one-sided enlargement or reduction. Which treatment option is ideal for you and your body is explained in a detailed private consultation. Everybody is individual and needs a perfectly coordinated treatment. Whether a correction with implant or autologous fat is suitable for you is decided together on the basis of many different factors.

Sometimes phases of hormonal changes (as a baby, during puberty, or in old age), breasts can develop in men. Normally, they regress, but in rare cases, an enlarged mammary gland may remain. The phenomenon can also occur only on one side. If you are overweight, fat storage can also be the cause of a female breast.

After exclusion of possible diseases, the excess tissue can be removed and the skin mantle can be reduced and remodelled as necessary.

Body – More than a shell

In many cases, the body tends to accumulate fatty tissue in centralised zones. Healthy diet and sports alone, often do not help. These fat accumulations can be removed by liposuction and the body image can be harmonized. The most common accumulations of fatty tissue are in the abdomen and thigh region.

Important weigh loss or pregnancies may leave their races, especially in the abdominal region. If there is skin excess, a tummy tuck can remove it and correct the silhouette of the belly.

  • Liposuction
  • Arm lifting (brachioplasty)
  • Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck)
  • Thigh lift (cruroplasty)
  • Combination of differerent procedures

Changes resulting from pregnancy, childbirth and lactation are normal. As a woman's whole-body changes, slimness and firmness of the upper and lower body often suffer. Sport and diet alone does not help to get back in shape. Typical changes are:

  • sagging abdomen
  • «inflated» abdomen due to weak and/or dilated abdominal wall
  • Sunken, empty and sagging breasts
  • stronger pigment spots on the face
  • stubborn fat deposits
  • Stretch and stretch marks.

  • Abdominoplasty with removal of excess skin; dilated abdominal muscles are tightened.
  • Removal of excess skin for stretch marks and stretch marks
  • Liposuction
  • Facial treatments (see chapter Face)

Some interventions can be combined. To identify what is best for you, it is best to discuss them personally with us. We can then together determine an individual treatment and surgery plan. Always with the aim that you get back into shape after pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding and find yourself attractive. They are by nature, discreet and small corrections and corrigé is happy to help you understand the best treatment option for you.

After the strenuous pregnancy and childbirth, your body needs time to recover. Give yourself this time and dedicate yourself to your child. Avoid dieting and excessive exercise. The time for a mommy makeover will be:

  • as soon as the lactation period is six to twelve months past
  • when you have returned to normal weight
  • if you no longer have to carry the child all the time
  • if your problem areas disturb and burden your quality of life, your body perception and possibly your partnership.
