Brow lift Lucerne

A fresh look changes more than just your reflection in the mirror.

It influences your charisma, your facial expression and the way you interact with other people.

However, over time and as part of the ageing process, drooping eyebrows can lead to a tired, tense, sad or serious facial expression, even if you feel alert and lively inside.

With a brow lift, we restore balance to your eye area – for an open, friendly appearance and natural rejuvenation of the face.

A more alert expression – greater vitality for your eyebrows and eyes

The eyebrows shape the upper part of the face like no other feature. Lifting techniques allow us to not only improve the volume and position of the eyebrows, but also reduce unsightly wrinkles in the forehead area.

The aim of an eyebrow lift is to emphasise your charisma without creating a stiff or unnatural effect.

The result: an alert, open gaze that suits you perfectly.

When is an eyebrow lift advisable?

Many patients initially notice heavy or tired-looking eyelids without directly perceiving the drooping of their eyebrows. This is often unconsciously compensated for by permanently raising the forehead, which leads to increased forehead wrinkles and muscular tension.

An eyebrow lift can provide targeted relief and harmonise facial expressions.

Many of our patients therefore opt for a brow lift if they:

notice a permanently tired or tense expression

Drooping eyelids and permanently tense forehead muscles make the face look tired. A brow lift opens up the area around the eye and restores your natural radiance.

suffer from drooping eyebrows

With age, hair growth in the brow area can change and the surrounding skin can lose elasticity, causing the eyebrows to droop. A brow lift restores the required tension to the area around the eyes and ensures a fresh appearance.

want a gentle lift and change in shape for sideways drooping brows

An eyebrow lift is also suitable for downward slanting eyebrows on the side, which may be congenital. With age, this sometimes affects the eye area in such a way that surgery may help the facial expression appear more positive. The lateral eyebrow lift brings the eyebrows into a more natural position and may also have a slight tightening effect on the upper eyelid skin – but it does not replace a classic eyelid lift.

want a lift without noticeable scar

The eyebrow lift is performed via finely placed incisions along the brow line or hidden in the hair in the temple area. After healing, the scars are usually inconspicuous and placed so that they blend in as well as possible with the natural lines or hair.

want to gently smoothen and harmonise the upper face area

A targeted eyebrow lift relieves the muscles and smoothens fine wrinkles without changing your natural expression. This makes your entire face appear more fresh and vibrant.

How does the eyebrow lift work?

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and takes 1-2 hours. The skin around the eyebrows is gently tightened, the eyebrows are raised to a higher position and the underlying muscles are relieved.

The eyebrow lift can be performed either directly on the upper edge of the eyebrows or via the temple region. The incisions are made in a way that the scars are either in the natural brow line or inconspicuous in the hair and are barely visible after healing.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia or with additional twilight sleep.

The stitches can be removed after about a week, and sporting activities are possible again after about two weeks.

Frequently asked questions about eyebrow lifts in Lucerne

Many of our patients research the topic of eyebrow lifts extensively in advance.

We welcome this, as aesthetic surgery in the upper face is a personal decision in which trust, experience and medical quality are crucial.

Below, we answer some frequently asked questions that you may find helpful:

An eyebrow lift is particularly useful for those whose eyebrows have drooped or who want a fresher appearance and a more open look.

Occasionally, symptoms such as tension in the forehead due to overactive muscles may predominate, or simply drooping eyelids may be a concern.

During a personal consultation with your surgeon, we will determine whether an eyebrow lift is the right choice for you.

The eyebrow lift is performed on an outpatient basis and takes one to two hours. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia or with additional twilight sedation.

The sagging skin above the eyebrows is tightened, resulting in a lifting effect. The lift not only rejuvenates the expression, but also the entire face.

The fine incisions are inconspicuous in the natural brow line or in the hair at the temple – for a harmonious result with minimal scarring.

The treatment is very well tolerated.

Immediately after the procedure, you may experience a slight feeling of tightness, swelling or bruising around the eye area. These can be easily controlled with cooling and care according to our instructions and usually subside quickly.

Many people report a new, natural feeling in the upper face area and a visibly fresh appearance shortly after the procedure.

After the procedure, it is particularly important to cool the eye area in order to minimise swelling.

Make sure you get plenty of rest during the first few days to support the healing process. Lymphatic drainage can also help to reduce swelling more quickly.

Once the initial healing phase is complete, we will provide you with detailed information on scar care.

Healing after a brow lift is usually uncomplicated.

Typical course:

  1. Physical rest and avoidance of bending forward for the first 5–7 days
  2. Sutures removed after a week
  3. Return to normal activities after around 1 week
  4. No sport for approx. 2 weeks
  5. The final result is visible after 3–6 months

We support you throughout the entire healing phase with individual aftercare.

The incisions are made directly along the upper edge of the eyebrows or in the hair at the temples and are virtually invisible once healed.

Prices depend on the extent of the procedure, your skin condition and individual requirements.

We will provide you with a cost estimate during a personal consultation.
