Our eyes reveal a lot about us – our zest for life, vitality and inner balance.
However, over the years, the skin around the eyes loses elasticity and tone. Drooping eyelids, bags under the eyes or lowered eyebrows can make the facial expression of those affected appear tired, sad or tense – regardless of how we really feel.
With an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty), we help you to bring out your natural expression again – precisely, safely and individually tailored to your needs.
The eye area is one of the most delicate and sensitive areas of the human face. Even small changes to the eyelids or the surrounding skin can have a big impact on your appearance.
Our goal is to restore a fresh, open look – the way you like to see yourself in the mirror. A natural appearance is our priority.
Whether it's an upper eyelid lift for drooping eyelids, a lower eyelid lift for bags under the eyes, or a combination of both techniques, we offer modern and gentle treatment methods with micro-fine incisions, minimal scarring and fast healing.
During an eyelid lift, your surgeon removes excess skin and, if necessary, sagging fatty tissue from the upper or lower eyelids. The aim is a fresher look of the eyes and to harmonise the facial expression in a natural way.
The operation takes around 1–2 hours and is usually performed under local anaesthetic or in combination with twilight sleep.
After the procedure, slight traces such as swelling and bruising may occur, which can be easily concealed with make-up or sunglasses. The stitches are removed after about five to seven days – sporting activities are possible again after about two weeks.

An eyelid lift can be useful if you suffer from sagging skin, drooping eyelids, bags under the eyes or a tired facial expression – even if you actually feel alert and energetic. A restricted field of vision due to severely drooping upper eyelids can also be a reason for treatment. During a personal consultation, we will determine whether an upper eyelid lift, lower eyelid lift or a combination of both procedures is suitable for you.
We perform both upper and lower eyelid lifts, depending on the findings and your wishes. The aim is to remove or reposition excess skin and/or fatty tissue.
The procedures are performed using micro-fine incisions and state-of-the-art technology to achieve a natural result with minimal scarring.
Upper blepharoplasty (upper eyelid lift) is usually performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia, while lower blepharoplasty (lower eyelid lift) is usually performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia with twilight sleep. The procedure takes about 1–2 hours.
Temporary swelling or bruising may occur after the operation. The eye area is cooled frequently, especially at the beginning. We remove the stitches after five to seven days. After that, your eye area will usually have recovered significantly.
Mild pain or a feeling of tension in the eyelids may occur after the procedure, but this can be easily controlled by cooling the eyelids. Many of our patients are surprised at how quickly they regain a natural and harmonious feeling for their own expression after the procedure.
After the procedure, it is particularly important to cool the eyelids in order to minimise swelling.
If your eyes feel dry or burning, we recommend regular use of moisturising drops or ointments, which we give you after the procedure. Allow yourself plenty of rest in the first few days to support the healing process. Lymphatic drainage can also help to reduce swelling more quickly.
Once the initial healing phase is complete, we will provide you with detailed information on scar care.
The healing process is individual and is generally uncomplicated.
Typically after the procedure:
