The operation itself (regardless of the breast enhancement technique chosen) takes around two hours and is performed on an outpatient basis under general anaesthesia. We use modern techniques to minimise scars and ensure rapid recovery.
We recommend wearing a supportive bra for the first six weeks after the procedure, although light everyday movements are possible again immediately. When treating with fat grafting, compression garments are also worn in the liposuction area for six weeks. With both techniques, you can gradually resume sporting activities from the fourth week onwards.
Your final result will unfold over the following six to nine months, as soon as the swelling has completely subsided and your new breast volume has naturally settled. As with any surgical procedure, temporary discomfort is possible. We provide targeted therapy during and immediately after the procedure. In the first few days, a feeling of discomfort may occur, which usually subsides after a few days. During treatment with fat grafting, a sore muscle-like feeling may occur in the liposuction area. Compression garments are worn in this area for six weeks after the procedure. Most patients can immediately resume light activities.
Modern breast implants are very durable. Many manufacturers give guarantees of up to 10 years, but the implants prove themselves in most patients for much longer. The modern generation of silicone implants has a cohesive gel that holds together even if the shell ruptures. Routine replacement is therefore not necessary as long as no complaints or changes occur.
